It looks like everybody's favorite budget smartphone, theMoto G, is about to add a few more handsets to the family. A Brazilian FCC document has appeared showing the recent approval of three new devices from Motorola: the XT1063, XT1068 and XT1069. We know that these devices are not the mysterious Moto X+1 as none of the listed variants support 4G networks, so they are clearly aimed at the mid-range markets already serviced by the Moto G and Moto E. [Update: we have now received some leaked specs for the XT1068]
The document was leaked to the TecnoBlog site and it certainly looks the real deal, even if my Portuguese is a little rusty. The leaker further informed the site that each device would be a variation on an updated Moto G: the first will have a single SIM, the second, dual-SIM, and the third, dual-SIM and digital TV and all will support low energy Bluetooth. The devices are reportedly bridging the gap between the current Moto G and the Moto X with improved specs over the original Moto G, but lacking the 4G connectivity we saw introduced with the Moto G 4G. Whether or not these devices are official successors to the Moto G or something else entirely we'll just have to wait and see, but TecnoBlog did mention the name Moto M.
When Motorola introduced the Moto G to the world we were all a little surprised at just how good it was, and at such an incredibly low price. Then, as the Moto G saw its global rollout it was treated to such speedy Android updates that even Nexus owners were jealous. It was followed by the even cheaper Moto E (which we were a little less impressed by), but Motorola are clearly onto a winning formula here of cheap devices with rapid updates and a solid Android experience. We look forward to seeing just how many improvements Motorola have made this time around.

We've now had some specs leak for at least one of the Moto G variants: the XT1068. The site Mallandonoandroid are claiming the Moto G2 (or whatever it will be called) will sport a HD display (1,280x720 pixels), quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and Adreno 305 GPU with an improved 8 MP rear camera. Stay tuned for more specs and confirmation as time goes on.
