Xolo has been trying to do justice to its tagline “The Next Level” by launching arrays of different smartphones with
variety of chipsets. It is also the first domestic
manufacturer to provide with Android 4.4 KitKat OTA
update for several smartphones.
If sources at GSMArena are to be believed, Xolo is
working on a new Android 4.4 KitKat based UI, named
Xolo Hive, for all Xolo Products and this will debut with
the new Flagship smartphone very soon. The new
smartphone which will act as launch vehicle for Xolo
Hive, sports a 5 inch HD display with Gorilla Glass 3
layered on top of it.
This will also be the first Xolo Smartphone to feature
Octa Core MT6592 Chipset coupled with 2 GB RAM for
smooth handling of all this UI customization. According
to the insider sources, the new UI will offer a lot of much
need freedom from stock android. It will also allow you
to interact with Xolo Developer.
Xolo has also teamed up with a community of designers
for new themes and designs which will be made
available exclusively via new Xolo App store along with
other content. You won’t have to wait for too long to see
Xolo Hive in action, Xolo is expected to launch this new
phone by second week of July.
New software is often buggy and Xolo’s KitKat attempt
with Q1000 Opus doesn’t instill much confidence in us.
Xolo has been quick to address key issues by providing
firmware updates so far and perhaps the company will
get it right on the first attempt. Nevertheless, a new Xolo
UI with more freedom than stock android seems a step
in the right direction.
